Hi everyone. What a fun summer we had. I am so sad that it is over. A few of our leaves are starting to change color already. It makes me feel sick to my stomach!! We tried to do one last "summer" thing last night. Daddy wrote you all about it, so I won't say too much more, other than that it was quite an experience. I have put a few more photos of it up. Becca was sure that we were dying on our boat ride over. The hamburgers were burned to a crisp on the outside and barely done on the inside. I posted a photo of KatiAnne's hamburger. Appetizing, eh? But we had such a fun time--we laughed alot and won't forget it very soon!! Look at the beautiful picture Becca took of the sun while we were there. I think it looks like a postcard. The other photo is of our garden. We started out with such high hopes for our garden this year. Daddy and KatiAnne built it, and we excitedly planted the seeds and watered it lovingly. Well, I think I told you all how our zuchinni plant ended up only having female flowers which means we can't get any zuchinni. Well that put a real damper on things. And then the grass started to grow--and grow--and grow. For half the summer we TRIED to weed the grass out, but we finally just gave up. You see the results. We have harvested a few peas. And who knows, maybe we'll get a carrot or two. It really is quite a sad story--oh well. Maybe next year.
We went over to meet our new next door neighbors on Sunday night. And we discovered that they had been our neighbors over in Rocky Ridge Cove for four years. And we never met them--or even saw them that we know. I got all nervous though that they heard bad things about us--cause I know some of our neighbors didn't like us (or at least our dog!). Anyway, they seemed really nice and I hope we can be good neighbors this time.
LOVE YOU ALL.
Those pictures are adorable! That sounds like such a fun FHE. Sometimes you get the best memories out of times when things go wrong! Thats too bad about the garden, but at least you planted one! Thats impressive being in Canada! I'd like to do that next year. Thanks for updating. I love hearing from you. xxx

Bahahahaha, I loved the picture of your garden. I think we need to print it out and frame it. It would always make us laugh :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for updating, I was feeling very alone in the blogging world :) The pics were great- I've never seen a more disgusting looking hamburger, but I bet they tasted great! Haha. The picture of both girls makes them both look about 3 years older than they are, crazy! Tell Becca she has some awesome photography skills, I loved that picture she took.
Thats funny about your neighbours- I guess some things (like Roxie's reputation) you can never run away from! Just kidding- I am SURE that things will be just fine. I bet they really appreciated the treats you brought over. Love you lots and lots
